Medical Information for Administrators

With ever increasing responsibilities and regulations to get to grips with, the role of the Medical Information Administrator grows increasingly complex.

This training course is aimed at Medical Information Administrators of all levels from new starters to those with years of experience in the role.

A structured morning session will put the role into context, looking at:

  • Background to Medical Information, Terminology & Use of the SmPC
  • Overview of the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Handling simple enquiries
  • Identifying Adverse Events in Telephone Conversations, Emails & Website Correspondence
  • The MI Administrator's Role in an Audit

The afternoon will give you an opportunity to put what you've learnt into practice, with a workshop on code issues and identifying adverse events. This will be followed by an informal discussion/brainstorming session looking at the current role of administrators, and how they can add value to their department. There will also be the opportunity to discuss issues of concern and to share best practice.
