PIPA Recommended Resources for Medical Information & Pharmacovigilance Departments
This list is intended to provide guidance on the types of books and web-sources (plus some examples) that might be useful to any UK Medical Information or Pharmacovigilance department. It is not intended to be prescriptive or exhaustive. It is recognised that the needs and resources of each company will depend on their product range, the experience of their staff and the financial resource available. Nevertheless it is hoped that this list will prove a useful guide for purchasing decisions. (Last reviewed December 2006).
For those departments who may require further resources a more comprehensive reference list is available on the UKMi website : http://www.ukmi.nhs.uk/activities/clinicalGovernance/default.asp?pageRef=4
Suggestions for additions / deletions are always welcome.
